Ronald W. Hovsepian
President and Chief Executive Officer of Novell, Inc., USA

Ron Hovsepian serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Novell, Inc. He is responsible for setting the company's strategic direction and leading its growth as a global provider of enterprise-class software and services. Mr. Hovsepian, 45, joined Novell in June 2003 as President of North America, and has most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer. In that role he had direct worldwide responsibility for product development, marketing, and field operations, which includes sales, consulting and technical services. Previously, Mr. Hovsepian held management and executive positions at IBM Corporation over a 17 year period, including worldwide general manager of IBM's distribution industries, managing global hardware and software development, sales, marketing and services. With stints in various sales and marketing positions prior to taking profit and loss responsibility at several IBM units, he brings a proven track record of achieving revenue goals and profit growth in the IT solutions business.

Mr. Hovsepian also served as a managing director of Internet Capital Group, a venture capital firm. Mr. Hovsepian is non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ann Taylor Corporation. Hovsepian received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College.

Dean Lythgoe
Director of GroupWise Engineering, USA
Dean Lythgoe is the Director of GroupWise Engineering. He has been writing/managing enterprise software for 17 years, most recently managing development of the GroupWise clients, including Windows, Linux and Mac. He has also managed the administration team, which produces the ConsoleOne plug-ins for GroupWise. Dean teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Business, Computer Science and Information Technology programs at the University of Phoenix. He holds a Masters degree in Business/Technology Management and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.

Richard Bliss

Richard Bliss has been actively involved in the messaging industry since 1989. Prior to joining GWAVA, Richard was the Director of Marketing for Novell GroupWise, a position in which he was responsible for communicating Novell's vision for its GroupWise and collaboration products. He has been the VP of Marketing for companies such as Allegro (mail.com)-a leading U.S. provider of corporate e-mail management solutions-and Sigaba, an email security company. He has written numerous articles and spoken at a host of seminars, conferences and conventions on messaging, outsourcing and e-mail security. He has also appeared in numerous magazine interviews as well as appearing on CNN.

Initially hired to work on GroupWise installs, Scott joined the GroupWise team in 2000. Since then he has been involved in many aspects of GroupWise development including the Windows Client, Linux Client, Client side APIs, and the overall GroupWise build structure. He is currently working on Windows Client features and APIs to support the Linux Client. Scott holds both an MBA and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University

Phil Karren currently works as GroupWise Product Manager for Novell. My background on a short form is that I've worked for 21 years in IT marketing and development, for Novell, IBM, CacheFlow as an employee, and for several clients as a freelancer, including Linux Networx, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church and Family History Department, Cisco, Novell and others.

Gregory Webb
Novell, Product Marketing Manager, USA

Gregory Webb has been with Novell for five years and is the Product Marketing Manager for Novell GroupWise and Novell Teaming + Conferencing. Prior to this position, Gregory worked in Novell corporate marketing and was responsible for Novell Workgroup and Identity products and solutions on www.novell.com. Gregory attended graduate school at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in languages and literature.

Scott Clayton

Scott is the lead architect for the Windows Client. He has worked as a software engineer at Novell/WordPerfect for 15 years. He as designed and written features for every major release of GroupWise starting with Office 4.0 up to the current release. Scott holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah.

Alex Evans

Alex Evans joined Novell in 1998, starting his career in the European Support Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After 6 years supporting European GroupWise customers he moved to Provo, Utah, continuing in his role as a GroupWise Support Engineer. Alex then briefly worked as a PSE for 4 of Novell's larger customers before becoming the GroupWise Product Manager. Alex is also a regular blogger on Novell CoolBlogs.

Daniel Shelley is a Product Manager on Novell Teaming + Conferencing. Daniel has been with Novell for eight years, working primarily as a developer on a variety of projects including GroupWise WebAccess, Virtual Office and Novell Small Business Suite.  Daniel has a BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.

Karyn has been with Novell for 3 years as a systems engineer, working with the Workgroup and Open Source products, specializing in GroupWise and Teaming + Conferencing. Prior to joining the Novell team, Karyn was a consultant for 10 years, focusing on Novell technologies for small to enterprise customers. In addition to being passionate about collaboration, Karyn enjoys outside activities and spending time with her husband, David and daughter, Alyssa and is very involved with the American Diabetes Association.

Charles Taite - CEO/CTO Co-Founder of GWAVA, Charles Taite steers GWAVA's technology vision. He is the former CTO for Tobit Software of North America where he was instrumental in helping Tobit establish its technology roadmap for entering the North American market. He guides GWAVA's research and product development efforts, while overseeing GWAVA's technical services and support division. His expertise comes from a 15-year career in the networking industry, specializing in secure electronic messaging. He is a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE).

Mary Matthews

Having started very young, Mary has been working in IT for more than 30 years starting as a programmer and crossing over into networks with Novell way back in 1985. In addition to her MCNE, she holds a variety of vendor certifications and a BSIS from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. Her role at Calvin College is the daily oversight and future planning for all things "Novell " and is the primary administrator for the GroupWise domain. She also works part time as a consultant for Exceed Consulting to continue to meet the needs of clients from her former consulting engagements. Mary has worked across all industries, in a variety of IT functions, specializing in health care, education, and non-profit organizations. She is very active with the local NUI group, which is small but well known for doing "big things", and continues to be the driving force behind the group's annual big event.

Patricia Zullo

Patricia Zullo has a proven track record of accelerating revenue growth at early stage and pre-IPO enterprise software companies. She brings over 20 years of sales experience in, wireless and landline communications, Internet security, back office applications and client-server technology. She has extensive expertise in building successful channel partnerships and in managing and developing sales organizations for rapid growth and profitability. She currently serves as Director of OEM Sales at Nokia managing the Novell relationship. Prior to joining Nokia, Ms. Zullo served as vice president of sales at MailFrontier, an anti-spam software vendor, where she was responsible for building out both their Enterprise and Channel sales organizations. Before that, she served as vice president of North America sales at RLX, the pioneer in blade server technology. She has also held the leading sales executive roles for Privada, Inc. and Tumbleweed Communications. Ms. Zullo received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.

"Roel van Bueren has been working with GroupWise since WordPerfect Office 3.1. As a GroupWise consultant, trainer and developer, he's very active with what he calls 'a product that rocks'. With Ronald de Zwart he has written GWAVA Reveal, GWAVA Vertigo and GWAVA Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Roel is also very active in the ZENworks space. Besides doing ZENworks consultancy and implementations, deploying Windows desktops and applications with ZENworks, he's actively involved in training ZENworks administrators on ZENworks Imaging and Microsoft's Windows Installer technology (MSI). Gregory Bell

Gregory Bell is CEO of Advansys, a firm he launched in 1989. Previously he worked at Hewlett-Packard and NEC Information Systems in senior technical roles, training in both the U.S. and Japan. Andy Fox is a serial entrepreneur who has founded several successful companies in the collaboration and telephony space. He came to SiteScape through the acquisition of Imidio, which he founded, the company that created the Zon real-time collaboration solution that was integrated with SiteScape Forum. When he was chairman and CEO of iConverse, Andy was named 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year by MIMC (Massachusetts Interactive Media Council). He successfully completed the sale of iConverse.com to Infoclarus. Prior to iConverse.com, Andy was a founder and CEO of Cereva Networks, a storage area network company, tasked with enhancing Internet availability and performance. In 1992, Andy served as founder and CEO of Northeast Telecommunications. In 1994, he became founder and CEO of Technically Speaking Inc., a pioneer in the creation of call center and voice response applications and servers, which merged with Brooktrout Technology in 1996. Andy speaks frequently about trends in collaboration and social networking in the enterprise.

Paul F. DePond, founder of Notify Technology, has served as its President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors since the Company's inception in August 1994. From September 1992 through May 1994, Mr. DePond served as Vice President Corporate Marketing of Telebit Corporation, a supplier of high-speed modems and dialup remote access products. From January 1991 through September 1992, Mr. DePond served as Vice President, Marketing, of Alantec Corporation, a manufacturer of networking products. Sean Kirkby
Sean Kirkby is president of Concentrico, which provides GroupWise products and services. Sean has been working with GroupWise and its predecessors since 1991. He was a founding member of the "SWAT Team," the cross-platform consulting team formed to help Novell's largest GroupWise customers. He also worked as a product-planning manager for the GroupWise product line. Sean has published many articles on GroupWise, and has served as technical editor and contributing author for multiple releases of the GroupWise Administrator's Guide, published by Novell Press. He co-authored the first GroupWise Best Practices Guide, and the first GroupWise Developer's Guide, both published by Novell.

"Ron Gardiner, formerly of Novell Canada, has been working in the GroupWise space for more than ten years. He is based out of GWAVA's Montreal home office, and has been with GWAVA since June 2007. Originally from Smith Falls, Ont. Ron is a drummer, hockey referee and avid motorcycle enthusiast in his spare time. He started his IT career on IBM Mainframes back before the IBM PC was introduced. Ron currently serves as a GWAVA Product Manager championing GWAVA4, WASP, Guinevere, Vertigo and Reveal product lines. He travels all over North America working with customers and partners evangelizing GWAVA's products. He has a CNI, MCNE and MCSE and is currently working towards his Novell CLP. "

"Ulrich's first contact with GroupWise was in the days of WordPerfect Office 3.1. He has seen all versions since these days, he has implemented many GroupWise systems and he has been developing to GroupWise since 1998. Ulrich is also a Novell SysOp and works very closely with some engineering groups in Provo. He has written several articles for Novell Appnotes in the past. Ulrich is the brain behind Redline, a Monitoring, Reporting, Alerting solution for GroupWise. He's one of the founders of "GroupWise & Friends", the German GroupWise user Group and is currently in the position as the president of G&F. Ulrich is also an "open source evangelist" who pushed open source on NetWare very hard; he has been involved in PostgreSQL and MySQL development and ported the first version of Bash to NetWare. On NetWare he has worked a lot on LibC. He's working with Linux since 1994 and is involved in the GNOME Project, especially on GNOME-Network and the Evolution mail client that can connect to GroupWise now. Ulrich has been Speaker at BrainShare in Europe and SLC. In 2001 and 2003 he has got the official "Developer SysOp Excellence Award" from Novell for all his efforts. Willem Bagchus is GWAVA's senior SE. He is very passionate about Novell and GroupWise. Willem's background includes a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology and over 25 years of experience in the computer field. He has developed software, invented products and holds over 10 industry certificates, including Master CNE and CLP. Before joining GWAVA, Willem owned and operated his own business for over 15 years, supporting computers, networking, data conversion and e-mail. He has helped GWAVA since 2006 on the sales team, helping marketing, writing documentation and training customers and dealers alike. He is a people person and enjoys any activity that places him in contact with customers.
