GWAVA Certified Engineer Training 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Have you always wanted to be a GWAVA Certified Engineer? If you are a channel partner or customer and want the most from your GWAVA and GroupWise investment, then this course is critical. The course is divided into two areas: setting up your GWAVA environment and GWAVA on Linux. The first half will include hands-on, step-by-step instruction focused on setting up your specific GWAVA deployment along with little known tips and tricks to make you even more effective. The Linux portion of the course will provide valuable information on the benefits and challenges of transitioning to Linux while continuing to protect your GroupWise systems with GWAVA 4.5. Keep in mind that an exam will be administered and certification certificates will be award.

Troubleshooting Novell GroupWise 8
In this session the focus will be on troubleshooting Novell GroupWise 8 and a review of some of the most common GroupWise 8 support issues. This class is designed to cover the troubleshooting methodologies, learn how to focus your troubleshooting in order to get to the root of a problem quickly. We will also explore the Backup and Restore features of GroupWise GWCheck. Material will also be maintained and updated to cover the Top Support issues as reported by Novell Technical Services.
**Prerequisites: Intended for Advanced GroupWise Administrators interested in developing their GroupWise Troubleshooting skills and staying informed on top support issues.
Hardening your GroupWise System
In this Novell GroupWise session we will focus on hardening Novell GroupWise security. This class will cover enabling LDAP authentication, LDAP Pooling and securing end-to-end communication between agents with SSL and issue SSL Certificates to enable SSL connections between agents from the Client to the Post Office.
- Enable LDAP Authentication
- Generate a Certificate signing request
- Issue SSL Certificates to enable SSL connections between agents to the Post Office
The hands on in this session will have the student implementing a higher level of security than the already secure default settings. The labs are designed to work on either Linux or NetWare.
Prerequisites: This class is for designed for the experienced Novell GroupWise.

Migrate a Novell GroupWise 8 system from NetWare to Novell Open Enterprise Server Linux.
In this session you will learn how to migrate a Novell GroupWise 8 system from NetWare to Novell Open Enterprise Server Linux. Discussions will include how to migrate a Novell GroupWise system. Hands-on will include using the Novell GroupWise Server Migration Utility 1.1. Prerequisites: This class is for administrators who have a need to move their Novell GroupWise from NetWare or Windows to Linux. It assumes that you have relevant experience as a Novell GroupWise administrator.
