Ulrich's first contact with GroupWise was in the days of WordPerfect Office 3.1. He has seen all versions since these days, he has implemented many GroupWise systems and he has been developing to GroupWise since 1998. Ulrich is also a Novell SysOp and works very closely with some engineering groups in Provo. He has written several articles for Novell Appnotes in the past. Ulrich is the brain behind Redline. a Monitoring, Reporting, Alerting solution for GroupWise. He's one of the founders of "GroupWise & Friends", the german GroupWise user Group and is currently in the position as the president of G&F. Ulrich is also an "open source evangelist" who pushed open source on NetWare very hard; he has been involved in PostgreSQL and MySQL development and ported the first version of Bash to NetWare. On NetWare he has worked a lot on LibC. He's working with Linux since 1994 and is involved in the GNOME Project, especially on GNOME-Network and the Evolution mail client that can connect to GroupWise now. Ulrich has been Speaker at BrainShare in Europe and SLC. In 2001 and 2003 he has got the official "Developer SysOp Excellence Award" from Novell for all his efforts. Diethmar currently works as an independent consultant. In many cases he is the main hub for GroupWise in Austria. Diethmar holds a degree in Informatics from the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. His most difficult job is being the father of two girls (Hannah - 1998 = GroupWise 5.5 and Sophie - 2002 = Prerelease of GroupWise 6.5). His hobbies are his family, music, GroupWise.

Christof Gedig has been employed by Syncsort since October 2004 and has responsibilities for selling Backup Express in Germany, Sweden and Norway. Prior to Syncsort he has been Sales Manager for the storage expert Iomega in the DACH region. He managed the reseller channel and was in charge of the project management and introducing the Iomega NAS product range to the regional market. Preceding Iomega Christof worked for a medium sized corporation as a Sysadmin and head of IT. During this time he implemented a standardized IT environment, realized and implemented a document and project management tool based on Lotus Notes. Christof holds the CLP for Lotus Notes and a MCSE.

Anthony Priestman works as a Technology Specialist for Novell Netherlands. His main expertise is in Linux and the added Novell services on top of Linux like GroupWise, Teaming + Conferencing, eDirectory, iFolder and SRM services. He works with various companies to implement the latest services and products from Novell. Anthony also speaks at Dutch forums and shows. He started in 1989 as a support engineer for WordPerfect Netherlands. Before joining Wordperfect he was an EMEA IT Manager for various companies.

Dean Lythgoe - USA

Dean Lythgoe is the Director of GroupWise Engineering. He has been writing/managing enterprise software for 17 years, most recently managing development of the GroupWise clients, including Windows, Linux and Mac. He has also managed the administration team, which produces the ConsoleOne plug-ins for GroupWise. Dean teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Business, Computer Science and Information Technology programs at the University of Phoenix. He holds a Masters degree in Business/Technology Management and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
