Ken Muir Novell – The Director of Engineering for GroupWise Ken Muir is the Director of Engineering at Novell for GroupWise. Ken joined Novell in 1995 after graduating with honors from the University of Utah with degrees in both Electrical and Computer Engineering. As an Engineer, Ken worked on AppWare, NWAdmin, ConsoleOne and other various eDir management utilities. In 1997 he joined the ZENworks team where he became a lead engineer on the ZENworks for Servers product. In 2001 Ken joined the ZENworks management team running the ZENworks for Servers product and then as a Senior Manager working with additional components of ZENworks including leading the release of ZENworks Linux Management 7. In July of 2005, Ken was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the GroupWise team as the new Director of Engineering. His responsibilities include all areas of development, testing and maintenance of GroupWise. |

Richard Bliss GWAVA-Vice President, Marketing USA Richard Bliss has been actively involved in the messaging industry since 1989. Prior to joining GWAVA, Richard was the Director of Marketing for Novell GroupWise, a position in which he was responsible for communicating Novell's vision for its GroupWise and collaboration products. He has been the VP of Marketing for companies such as Allegro (mail.com)-a leading U.S. provider of corporate e-mail management solutions-and Sigaba, an email security company. He has written numerous articles and spoken at a host of seminars, conferences and conventions on messaging, outsourcing and e-mail security. He has also appeared in numerous magazine interviews as well as appearing on CNN. |

Jesse Boudreau Vice President of BlackBerry Software Jesse Boudreau is Vice-President of BlackBerry Software with Research In Motion (RIM) Limited, operating out of the company's Ottawa, Canada office. His development team is responsible for RIM's BlackBerry Enterprise Server for GroupWise, the BlackBerry Connect program as well all software for RIM's new BlackBerry Maps application. Jesse joined RIM in 2004 after the company acquired technology from his firm MobileStash, a publisher of mobile messaging software supporting GroupWise. |

RIM provides solutions for secure, seamless access to time-sensitive information including email, calendar, instant messaging, and applications. Aaron holds degrees in computer science, business admin and a masters of business admin. He joined RIM in 2004 where he's currently responsible for planning and bringing to market server-based products for the BlackBerry-based corporate mobile enterprise solutions. Mary Matthews Senior Systems Engineer, Novell * Calvin College Consulting Engineer * Exceed Consulting VP and Past-President, West Michigan Novell Users Group (WMNUG) Having started very young, Mary has been working in IT for more than 30 years starting as a programmer and crossing over into networks with Novell way back in 1985. In addition to her MCNE, she holds a variety of vendor certifications and a BSIS from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.. Her role at Calvin College is the daily oversight and future planning for all things "Novell " and is the primary administrator for the GroupWise domain. She also works part time as a consultant for Exceed Consulting to continue to meet the needs of clients from her former consulting engagements. Mary has worked across all industries, in a variety of IT functions, specializing in health care, education, and non-profit organizations. She is very active with the local NUI group, which is small but well known for doing "big things", and continues to be the driving force behind the group's annual big event. |

Dan Bulkley Dan Bulkley is the IS&T Manager for Novell's internal Messaging and ZENworks services. He started out his IT career with WordPerfect in 1988. Dan has been a IT manager 17 years and has worked with the GroupWise engineering and product management teams since these products were first released. He started the "Eat your own dog food " campaign at WordPerfect in 1993 and has kept with this effort going at Novell. |

Steve Whitehouse Steve Whitehouse is currently the systems architect for Novell's IS&T Messaging Services Team. He has worked on the IS&T Messaging Services Team for the last nine years. Steve works closely with the Novell GroupWise engineering product management and engineering teams in reviewing and deploying products for use at Novell and giving feedback on product requirements and design. Steve has been a regular presenter at Brainshare, presenting sessions for the last six years. He first started working with GroupWise in 1993 in the International Product Development group at WordPerfect, working on Office 4.0 localization. He worked in WordPerfect and Novell Technical Services at the customer support center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from 1995 through 1997 supporting GroupWise and NetWare product lines to English and French-speaking customers. |

Since then he has been involved in many aspects of GroupWise development including the Windows Client, Linux Client, Client side APIs, and the overall GroupWise build structure. He is currently working on Windows Client features and APIs to support the Linux Client. Scott holds both an MBA and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. |

Durwin Hannig GroupWise Critical Problem Resolution (CPR) Engineer, Novell Durwin Hannig has worked with Novell GroupWise throughout his 13-year career at Novell, beginning with the first Windows version (Word Perfect Office version 4) to the product's latest release, GroupWise 7. Prior to joining Novell, Durwin served in the US Air Force where he was responsible for communication and software programming. Durwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hawaii Pacific University as well as an Associates degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland. John Dragoon Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer John Dragoon serves as Novell's Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Dragoon brings over 22 years of high technology operations experience to his role, and is responsible for all aspects of Novell's marketing strategy and activities worldwide, including corporate marketing, field marketing, partner and channel marketing, industry marketing and marketing operations functions. He was most recently vice president of worldwide field marketing for Novell. Mr. Dragoon is a member of Novell's Worldwide Management Committee. Prior to joining Novell, Dragoon was the senior vice president of marketing and product management at Art Technology Group where he was responsible for all aspects of ATG's product plans and strategy, product marketing, and corporate marketing. Before ATG, Dragoon spent more than 16 years at IBM, where he held a number of marketing and sales positions, including director of marketing, IBM Supply Chain Management Solutions. After IBM, Dragoon served as vice president, operations, Internet Capital Group, where he was on the board of nine partner companies providing guidance on strategy, marketing, business development, financing, and product development. Ulrich Neumann - Germany GWAVA - Redline Lead Developer, two-time winner of the prestigious Novell Developer Excellence Award Ulrich brings 16 years of Novell development experience to GWAVA, Inc. Ulrich Neumann is a two-time winner of the prestigious Novell Developer Excellence Award. This award is given to a single individual each year in recognition of their contribution to the Novell development community. Ulrich won the award in 2001 and again in 2003. Ulrich has joined GWAVA, the leading GroupWise partner, to begin developing additional solutions for GroupWise customers beyond GWAVA's traditional security offering. Ulrich is also an "open source evangelist" who pushed open source on NetWare very hard; he has been involved in PostgreSQL and MySQL development and ported the first version of Bash to NetWare. David Proulx Mr. David Proulx is a Senior Consultant with American Integrated Services, Inc. (AIS) in Atlanta, Georgia since 1995. Mr. Proulx interned with the Governmental Audit Division of Milam and Milam, CPA (1988 – 1992) and later served as their Information Technology Manager. American Integrated Services, Inc. coordinated the installation of Digital Indexed Voice Recording for the United States Bankruptcy Court for two years. The installation was performed in record time and approved as official record within 7 days of installation.
