Derek Adams Derek Adams is currently with BrainStorm, Inc., Novell's Authorized End-user Training Partner and one of the oldest GroupWise Partners. Derek oversees technology initiatives and evaluation for BrainStorm. With 10 years experience in the industry, his main focus has been on design, development, and implementation of collaborative documentation solutions. GWAVACon Speaker
Ed Anderson Ed Anderson, Novell vice president of marketing for Nterprise Platform Services Ed Anderson leads the product management and marketing teams for the Novell Nterprise brand. His background spans NetWare, GroupWise, eDirectory, and DirXML as well as various other platform-related initiatives. At Novell since 1993, Mr. Anderson previously worked for 3M and IBM. He holds a C.S. degree from the University of Utah. GWAVACon Speaker
Michael Bell Michael Bell - VP of R&D, Sr. Engineer Michael Bell in addition to being VP of Research and Development, also fulfills the role of Senior Engineer at GWAVA. Michael developed, Guinevere, the first Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam solution for GroupWise and has been the Co-Developer for GWAVA. Michael is a long time Netware Administrator and has been a member of the Novell Sysop Team since May, 1998. He also maintains the Win32 HOWTO for Spam Assassin (http://www.openhandhome.com/howtosa.html). GWAVACon Speaker
Joe Bertnick Joe Bertnick Director, Product Management GWAVA, Mr. Bertnick manages the development of new products for GWAVA. Mr. Bertnick brings 15 years of networking, security and software experience to GWAVA. He has extensive experience in information security, hacker defense and in helping global organizations develop and implement policies and technology to secure their corporate infrastructures. Mr. Bertnick is a perennial speaker at many industry events, such as Novell's BrainShare, Blackhat, Infosec, MISTI and others. He specializes in topics focusing on developing real world solutions to secure corporate information systems. GWAVACon Speaker
Richard Bliss Richard Bliss - VP of Marketing. Richard Bliss has been actively involved in the messaging industry since 1989. Prior to joining GWAVA, Richard was the Director of Marketing for Novell GroupWise, a position in which he was responsible for communicating Novell's vision for its GroupWise and collaboration products. He has been the VP of Marketing for companies such as Allegro (mail.com)-a leading U.S. provider of corporate e-mail management solutions-and Sigaba, an email security company. He has written numerous articles and spoken at a host of seminars, conferences and conventions on messaging, outsourcing and e-mail security. He has also appeared in numerous magazine interviews as well as appearing on CNN. GWAVACon Speaker
Doug Brennecke Doug Brennecke serves as Vice President of Sales for Computhink. With more than 17 years experience in the software industry, Mr. Brennecke is responsible for all sales in the domestic US and establishing technology partners for Computhink's document management solution. Previously, Mr. Brennecke was the Marketing Director for Plexus, responsible for the direction of enterprise workflow and document management solutions. He holds a Bachelors of Science Engineering degree from Tulane University. GWAVACon Speaker
Marc Conradty Chief Technical Officer of Inetra Inc. Germany. As CTO, Marc is responsible for team training and all German speaking support for GWAVA and Inetra customers. Marc specializes in working with Smartblocker for squeezing the last false positive email out of the GWAVA Archive. Marc has been working in the email industry since 1990, and began with MHS from Novell. Marc has been working since then as a consultant in planning, developing, and deploying networks. Marc is consulting IT departments in deploying and fine tuning GroupWise and GWAVA. Marc's Background is in Netware, Linux, eDirectory, Zenworks and BorderManager, as well as TCP/IP and Protocol understanding. GWAVACon Speaker
Paul F. De Pond Paul F. DePond, founder of Notify Technology, has served as its President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors since the Company's inception in August 1994. From September 1992 through May 1994, Mr. DePond served as Vice President Corporate Marketing of Telebit Corporation, a supplier of high-speed modems and dialup remote access products. From January 1991 through September 1992, Mr. DePond served as Vice President, Marketing, of Alantec Corporation, a manufacturer of networking products. Mr. DePond received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering in 1979, and an M.A. in Computer Science in 1980, each from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. GWAVACon Speaker
Raul A. Diaz Raul A. Diaz is a founding Partner and VP of Technical Services of RDA Enterprises, Inc., an award winning Novell Platinum Partner. Raul has been working with Novell technology since 1986. With his extensive knowledge in NetWare and GroupWise, Raul is an integral member of our GWAVA Solutions team. Eric Farr Eric Farr is a Principal of BrainStorm, Inc., where he leads the sales and marketing initiatives. An entrepreneur at heart, Eric has started and run several companies and thrives in the fast-paced startup world. Before joining BrainStorm, Eric was President and CEO of EvolveMed, which specializes in documentation solutions for hospital networks and healthcare professionals. Prior to joining EvolveMed, Eric founded Dental Management Systems, which marketed and sold practice and clinical management technology systems to dental practitioners. There, Eric was responsible for all marketing and sales efforts until the business was sold. In 1995, Eric founded C. Erickson Properties, which continues to invest in commercial real estate. Eric earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from Brigham Young University and his MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. GWAVACon Speaker
David Heit David Heit is a Senior Product Manager at Research In Motion (RIM), a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative wireless solutions for the mobile communications market. RIM provides solutions for seamless access to time-sensitive information including email, messaging, and applications. David holds both science and business degrees and joined RIM in 2000.
He is responsible for planning and bringing to market BlackBerry based corporate mobile enterprise solutions, for applications ranging from corporate portal access to field force dispatch and management. David is currently leading the planning and launch of the BlackBerry solution for GroupWise.
Prior to joining RIM, David has worked in the high technology industry for over 15 years, holding development, product management and sales management positions with several high technology companies.

Mike Lambert Lead Developer Guiterface, Mike Lambert graduated in 1995 from Wright State University with a degree in Computer Science. He spent the next 6 years writing custom portal, ecommerce and database applications for employers and as a consultant. His last three years have been spent writing custom email management and filtering software for Guinterface Software. He currently resides in Dayton, Ohio with his wife and dog. GWAVACon Speaker
Todd Lawson Todd Lawson is President, CEO and co-founder of NetVision. Todd is a technologist first and foremost. A former Novell engineer, Todd holds multiple patents for software development and is responsible for the architecture underlying NetVision's award winning security software. Since founding NetVision in 1995 Todd has been recognized regionally and nationally for his entrepreneurial and business accomplishments.
Jay Lloyd Jay Lloyd, Sales Director, for the past five years Jay has been the Sales director at Toffa International Limited. This role has involved building and maintaining Toffa's sales channel as well as handling direct sales accounts worldwide. GWAVACon Speaker
Jared Lord Jared Lord has been with GroupLink for over five years. In those five years he has been among the best in our sales department. Throughout his tenure, Lord has greatly impacted the direction of the company and its products. Because of his dedication to our customers, he has always been a strong advocate of customer loyalty and service. Jared has a wife and 3 young boys that keep him very busy while he's not at work or duck hunting!
Dave Muldoon Dave Muldoon is one of the Messaging industry's experts on Novell GroupWise. He has written various articles for Novell Cool Solutions, has contributed to Advisor Magazine, has presented at the GroupWise Advisor Summit and is also the author a book entitled "GroupWise Administration Made Easy".Dave has been working with GroupWise for over 5 years, supporting a GroupWise environment totaling over 18,000 users. Something that makes Dave stand out in the industry is that his entire support role during this time period has been dedicated to GroupWise. This includes extensive research and testing on the various GroupWise applications, agents, administrative tools and application integration with GroupWise, along with automated test tools and scripting utilities. The size of the system, combined with demands of providing a zero impact environment result in some interesting solutions. GWAVACon Speaker
Ulrich Neuman Ulrich Neumann Redline Lead Developer for GWAVA. Ulrich brings 16 years of Novell development experience to GWAVA, Inc. Ulrich Neumann is a two-time winner of the prestigious Novell Developer Excellence Award. This award is given to a single individual each year in recognition of their contribution to the Novell development community. Ulrich won the award in 2001 and again in 2003. Ulrich has joined GWAVA, the leading GroupWise partner, to begin developing additional solutions for GroupWise customers beyond GWAVA's traditional security offering. GWAVACon Speaker
Eric Raff Eric Raff has been working in the computer industry throughout his career. He worked for Novell for 6 years as a GroupWise Support Engineer, and is known world wide as a leading authority in the GroupWise community. He has been a featured speaker and presenter for Novell Brainshare, as well as each of the GroupWise Advisor conferences. He also is a co-author of the Caledonia GroupWise 6.5 upgrade guide, technical Editor for the Novell Press GroupWise 6 and 6.5 Admin guides, and is currently acting as a contributing editor for the GroupWise Advisor Magazine. He is the recipient of the Super Star award from the Software Support Professional Association (SSPA) and has consistently been an avid advocate in the GroupWise community. Ananth Rao Ananth Rao Executive Vice President, JP Mobile, provides strategic direction for JP Mobile. Rao leads the Company's sales, marketing, services and strategic alliances initiatives. With expertise in both the enterprise software and wireless communications industries, Rao manages a strong team that ensures the Company's sales and delivery of reliable, high-performance products to Fortune 1000 enterprise customers. Rao works closely with key strategic partners & customers of the company. Rao also speaks at various mobile industry events and interacts actively with key analysts and participates in several industry forums. Rao holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Charles Taite Charles Taite - CEO/CTO Co-Founder of GWAVA, Charles Taite steers GWAVA's technology vision. He is the former CTO for Tobit Software of North America where he was instrumental in helping Tobit establish its technology roadmap for entering the North American market. He guides GWAVA's research and product development efforts, while overseeing GWAVA's technical services and support division. His expertise comes from a 15-year career in the networking industry, specializing in secure electronic messaging. He is a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE). GWAVACon Speaker
John Wade John Wade is a Principal of BrainStorm, Inc. and heads up product development. Before joining BrainStorm, John worked as a Consultant with Bain & Company, a global strategy consulting firm. While at Bain, John worked with senior executives on global growth strategies and merger and acquisition matters for various companies, including a leading travel and Transportation Company, a satellite communications start-up, an international real estate development company, and a major consumer retailer. Prior to joining Bain & Company, John worked for Chase Manhattan Bank's Global Investment Banking Group where he helped co-found and establish their $100 million Real Estate Mezzanine Investment fund. His experiences with Chase also include leading investment banking transactions for private real estate clients as well as managing real estate loan syndication efforts. John earned an MBA with an emphasis in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School and is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Danita Zanre Danita Zanre has been using GroupWise since 1989, when it was known as WordPerfect Office 2.0. She is one of the primary consultants responsible for the day-to-day operations of Caledonia Network Consulting, and is experienced in all aspects of GroupWise, from design to installation, to training of administrators and users. Danita is the author of various articles and books on GroupWise, including GroupWise 6 Upgrade Guide, and the GroupWise WebAccess and Wireless User's Guide (both co-authored with Tay Kratzer).
